Zheng Li is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He received his M.S. in Transportation Engineering from Tongji University in June 2023, and later earned both an M.S. in Computer Sciences and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UW–Madison in August 2025. As first author, he has published multiple papers in leading transportation journals and conferences, including Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Research Part E, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Communications in Transportation Research. He received the TRB Best Paper Award in 2025. His research focuses on machine learning, simulation, large language models, AI agents, and data-driven methods for autonomous driving decision-making and evaluation.
